Double Room Ensuite - 2km from Lincoln City center - Hamilton Hotel

Ok for a sleep but if you can stretch your budget, go elsewhere. Positive: Communal Kitchen was nice Negative: We had two rooms. 1 had a broken wardrobe and hadn't been cleaned properly in places. The other smelt strongly of cannabis. Had to sleep with the window open and the smell just would not budge. Told the host who advised that they'd let maintenance know. This room also had a blocked shower drain so couldn't shower more than 5 minutes without risking overflow. Both rooms had cobwebs in the corners but on the whole we just needed somewhere to sleep and it got us through the night. Took a lot of photos but only attached a few of the bits. If looking at it on the surface it was ok.

Great location, shame about the beds. Positive: The location was fantastic, and we were able to check in an hour early to get ready for an event. Complimentary breakfast was nice touch Negative: One room smelt strongly of cannabis and the matresses were absolutely awful to sleep in. Big dents where they have worn over the years and you could feel every spring. We had a terrible nights sleep.

Positive: The rooms are big and spacious. Good facilities with bathroom. Comfortable bed. Good selection of tea and coffee. Like that there were complimentary breakfast bits. Negative: Blinds are warped, so there is too much light in the morning. Biscuits out of date, they were stale. Waiting for other people in the shared bathroom for over 30 minutes.

Cost effective hotel, with do it yourself access Positive: clean, tidy building, interior, rooms and bathrooms. Great idea to have the kitchen available. Negative: Door locks quite fiddly to work. no staff on site. had to call helpline to get codes.
