Drugs found in room Positive: N/a Negative: I have submitted an official complaint to the company, Simply Stay, who run this hotel regarding drug paraphernalia found in the room. They have chosen not to reply.

The stay at the Hamilton Hotel was disappointing and felt unsafe due to witnessing illegal drug use on the property. Positive: Nothing. Negative: My experience at the Hamilton Hotel was extremely disappointing and, more importantly, unsafe. During my stay, I witnessed individuals using illegal drugs on the property, which immediately made me feel uncomfortable and concerned for my safety. I contacted management to report the situation, expecting prompt action or at least some reassurance. Unfortunately, no meaningful support was offered, and my concerns were not taken seriously. This lack of response only made the situation worse and left me feeling intimidated and vulnerable. Due to the environment and lack of action from staff, I made the decision to leave early for my own safety. To make matters worse, no refund or compensation was offered despite the circumstances. I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. Your safety and peace of mind are far more valuable—it simply isn’t worth the risk.

Positive: It stated in my confirmation email that was a complimentary breakfast which there was not Negative: Being attacked from the moment we stepped through the main door till the police had to escort the perprater The bathroom had hair from previous guests. There was no hair dryer no toiletries

Positive: Clean tidy and spacious. Free parking.

Budget friendly but not having a decent bed is unforgivable. Positive: A great value basic accomodation with spacious room, very clean ensuite and well equipped, clean shared kitchen. Nice period features to main house. Negative: Very poor mattress in desperate need of replacement in room 2- very saggy and I could feel every single metal spring!! Got No sleep on first night. On second night I had to stuff my coat, jumper, towels onto the bed to try to minimise discomfort. Be aware that room 2 is on a busy road and only has period sash windows so there is traffic noise all night. Car park is very tight for parking. Would benefit from slight improvements to room layout/electrics - no sockets by bed and no sockets or light by the dressing/work table.
