No the money close to town Positive: Great location Negative: Basic but good

Best stay in skeggy Positive: Great room, good value , very spacious and clean. 3 minutes walk to centre. Would definitely visit again. Negative: Often no one on reception and time is taken for someone to arrive. A bell is on the front door but a bell on the front desk would be recommended .

A comfortable and clean stay, despite a very frustrating and bumpy check-in process Positive: Checking in was easy once a member of staff realised we were there. The rooms were clean and tidy, and accessing them via a keypad code was simple, though the system might not be for everyone, and anyone who struggles with pressing small buttons simply won't be able to do it. Checking out was also easy, just a matter of leaving on time. There were plenty of teas and coffees provided in the room, and the hot chocolate sachet was the cherry on top, which I've not found in any other hotel. Finally, despite their policy on Booking.com stating a minimum age of 4 for children, they were perfectly happy for our 3-month-old son to come with us. This was much appreciated, as we have had issues with other providers in the past. Negative: Unfortunately, the staff were a bit rude. We had communicated that we'd like to check in around 3 pm, which was agreed, but when we arrived no one was at the desk. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes, I called the number listed on the door. The person who answered sounded like they were in the middle of a disco, and told me no one was there because check-in wasn't until 4 pm. When I explained we had been told otherwise, she said something I couldn't make out, raised her voice, and hung up. As I went to call Booking.com, someone appeared at the desk and repeated what the lady had said on the phone. I reiterated that we were told 3 pm was okay. He did eventually check us in; I was a bit short with him but apologised later, and he seemed generally nice, but our first impressions were not great. Additionally, the shower was cold for the first 5 minutes and only slowly got warmer. We didn't say anything at the time as we were in a rush, but I imagine it wasn't something they could have fixed there and then anyway. Finally, it is a bit of an odd setup, as they seem to run a care home adjacent to the hotel, which led to other guests going through the wrong door.

Positive: We had a good rest, but it's a shame that we didn't have a refrigerator considering that we came from far away, which is what we needed. Otherwise, it was quiet but not very clean.
