Studio Room - Simplystay St Martins

Positive: Very comfortable room in a great location. Negative: Staffless check-in was a bit of a faff, and at 4 o'clock was rather late, to what many other locations do

Why so hot?! Positive: Fantastic location two minutes walk from the bottom of The Strait hill up to the cathedral, and with two small NCP car parks very close by, also shops and cafes. The room was small, but clean. Negative: For reasons we couldn't work out, the room was stiflingly hot at night, much hotter than outside, even with the window ajar and the fan going. We didn't sleep properly at all. Also the room, whilst adequately equipped for a one night stay, was very small, with only just enough space to walk around the bed.

Good value for money. Positive: Clean and close to high street Negative: The smell of cannabis coming from the guests downstairs and in the communal area. This does not reflect on the owners.

Great location near the Steep Positive: Location, very modern facilities in the room. Negative: Lack of parking but understandable in the middle of Lincoln , check in was too late 4pm) and check out was too early (10am) with no flexibility
