Ok if you are happy to find another guest cooking a meal in your room. Given the same key number. Positive: Excellent location Negative: Door access faulty. Rude telephone service, being phoned at 9pm and being asked if we would change rooms. We arrived an hour early and were rang to be told that the company could charge a £50 surcharge. The heated towel rail in the freezing bathroom was not working and we twice received no reply to my text messages. Also the lamp was not working. Fawlty Towers comes to mind.

awful experience, felt really unsafe Negative: Had an awful experience at Simply Stay- bad nights sleep and interrupted my ability to work, which was what the purpose of the visit was for. Arrived at 8:00pm and contacted staff to let them know that other peoples personal belongings were in my room. They told me that I should "rest assured" as the booking is in my name and nobody can come into the room. I placed the personal belongings of the people whose items were in the room to the side. I felt unsure as to whether to unpack in case it was double booked. I then had to keep calling hotel staff for updates on the matter as I was unsure of what to do and felt unsafe. At 9:30pm I heard back from the manager who said that the codes for the room have been changed and nobody will be able to get in. Shortly after, at 10:00pm, the other people were trying the door to get in. I alerted the manager who said to not let them in, but they did in fact have a code which worked and got into the room and retrieved their items - which the manager said they wouldnt be able to do! I felt very unsafe and unsure who else had access to the room. It made for a very uncomfortable and stressful stay and expect a refund. I have included photos for further details.

Nice at a glance, but not suitable for x4 people and poor communication from owners too. Positive: Initially when we walked in the property ( after a little confusion with which room we were in) the rooms appeared well thought out and well presented. Negative: Despite booking for x4 people we only got bedding:/ linen for x2. Therefore x2 people had to sleep with a sheet from the main bed and were uncomfortable and cold. There were only enough towels for x2 people too. We called the number given to let them know in hope that they were going being the necessary items and told they would call us back in 5 mins. No call back. X2 other calls went in again and no response back. Eventually after waiting for a response and ruining our stay ( waiting in) we were told that the bedding for the sofa bed was not included. There was no mention of this on the booking page and it stated linen provided. Even in the info folder it states in the note about departure not to worry about making the ‘beds’ as a plural. We are still waiting for a response following a complaint. Very upsetting stay.

Overall a great stay and comfortable. Positive: The property is in a great city centre location with shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. It was very clean and modern. I got my check in door code straight away and was very easy to let your self in and out of the property. Shower was great, there’s a dining table and dressing table and also toiletries supplied. It was lovely and warm given we stayed in November. The bed is huge too! Negative: Customer service could be better when you ask for a request, I requested earlier check in and for the extra bed to be made up as there were 3 of us but this was not done, so a little disappointed about that given the money we paid. There was no fresh milk supplied and very limited sugar for hot drinks. There’s no oven if you want to cook food, only a a hob and microwave. We only had 2 towels and there were 3 guests. The bed was too hard for my personal liking. Another issue we had was you can hear other people talking in the neighbouring rooms. Also the blinds that are up don’t give enough privacy with people and cars going by. The lamp didn’t work in the living room and there was no washing up liquid supplied.
