Single room Ensuite - 2km from Lincoln City Center

Great value but a disrupted stay, with disappointment at the deterioration of the room decors. Positive: I have always enjoyed staying at the Tennyson in the past. It appears to now be under new management. I like the distance to the town and having access to a kitchen. The beds are very comfortable. The fridges in the rooms are a nice touch. Negative: The room appeared clean but there was a dirty cup left on the side when I entered. The shower desperately needs regrouting and appeared dirty. The furniture is mostly worse for wear, the chair was ripped, the handle was missing from the wardrobe, and the handle for the bottom draw fell off in my hand. The traffic was extremely loud on the night I stayed, disrupting my sleep. The walls were fairly grubby and really could have done with a clean. The hand wash was extremely watery and unpleasant to use. The sanitary bag holder was empty. There were instructions for the old WiFi internet which was no longer in use.

Positive: The price and the location are near all conveniences. It had a fridge in the room which was very useful for drinks. Tea coffee facilities and even biscuits. Spacious double rooms and twin rooms are good sizes. I have been before and will go again. Negative: The entrance is very frustrating as you need to pull the door not push when you have entered the code numbers. Front rooms can be noisy as on the main road. However the back rooms are very quiet

Quick stay to support daughter move to Uni Positive: Convenient location, decent size. Coffee/Tea table and biscuits provided, excellent bar fridge ; big enough for my needs. Negative: Mold in shower; Cupboard door handle broken; Bed mattress worm on one side (needs rotation of changing) Barely adequate TV
